Philosophy of Praxis — Concept developed by Antonio Gramsci to designate a philosophy that integrates theory and transformative practice. It takes up Marx’s historical materialism but insists that superstructures (culture, ideology, education) are relatively autonomous from the economic base and must be transformed as part of the struggle for hegemony. The philosophy of praxis is at once critical reflection and a project of social transformation.
